A printable is only as good as the page that comes out of your printer. These eight habits make activity pages look sharp, fit the paper and last longer, whether you print one sheet or a whole class set.
1. Print at actual size
In the print window, choose “Actual size” or “100%” instead of “Fit to page”. Cut-and-fold crafts are drawn to size, and tabs only meet when nothing is scaled.
2. Pick the right paper size
Our files come in A4 and US Letter. Use the one that matches the paper in your tray, so margins stay even and nothing is cut off.
3. Use cardstock for crafts
Everyday 80 g/m² paper is perfect for colouring and tracing. Anything that needs to stand, hang or be played with is happier on light cardstock (160–200 g/m²).
4. Save ink with draft mode
Colouring pages are mostly outlines, so draft or “eco” mode is usually enough. Keep the normal quality for pages with colour pictures.
5. Print one page first
Before printing a 50-page book, print a single page and check the size and colours. It takes a minute and saves a stack of paper.
6. Print double-sided for workbooks
Tracing and activity books work well printed on both sides and stapled into a booklet. Crafts that get cut out should stay single-sided.
7. Keep a master copy
Save the PDF in a folder you can find again. Your download stays available in your account too, so you can print fresh copies whenever you need them.
8. Laminate the favourites
A laminated tracing page and a dry-wipe marker give you a sheet children can use again and again: trace, wipe, repeat.
